Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TapID. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use TapID.

1. Your account

You are responsible for the information you store in TapID and for keeping your account credentials, devices, biometrics and share links secure.

2. Acceptable use

Do not use TapID to impersonate others, share information you are not entitled to share, or attempt to bypass our security controls. Businesses must only request information they have a lawful basis to collect.

3. Consent & sharing

TapID only shares the fields you explicitly approve, per mode and per check-in. Each share is logged with a digital consent record. You may revoke share links at any time from the Consent Center.

4. Special information

Medical, allergy, emergency and other special personal information are subject to stricter access controls. You decide when (and to whom) they become visible.

5. Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed via Paystack. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Refunds follow Paystack's policies and applicable consumer law.

6. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for security reasons.

7. Data protection

We process personal information in line with POPIA and our Privacy Notice. You may access, update or delete your information at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TapID is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
